New Farm Nature Reserve

Nestled alongside the Warwickshire Avon, New Farm Nature Reserve beckons nature enthusiasts and seekers of serenity. Created by Worcestershire County Council, this 80-acre haven offers a harmonious blend of woodland, wildflower meadows, and wetlands.

Woddland Wonder: Explore winding trails through ancient woodlands, where dappled sunlight filters through the leaves. Birdsong accompanies your journey, creating a symphony of natural sounds.

Wildflower Meadow: Immerse yourself in a colour as wildflowers bloom. From delicate daisies to vibrant poppies, the meadow is a canvas of seasonal beauty.

Sanctum Sculpture: At the heart of reserve stands the striking wood sculpture known as “Sanctum.” Seek refuge from the elements, enjoy a leisurely picnic, or simply rest in its shelter. The sculpture is adorned with a stunning mosaic, a collaborative creation by the local community.

HOW TO ACCESS THE NATURE RESERVE

New Farm Nature Reserve is a 15-20 minute stroll from The Valley.

Once at The Valley, walk past the train station to the end of the car park, where there is a gravel track behind a metal gate. An information and map board is located here (see precise location on What3Words). Following Skylark waymarker discs, walk down a gravel track to the river, then turn left. Follow the footpath, keeping left at the fork. The site entrance is just after the old railway bridge.

Please be aware that the final section of the route is not accessible to wheelchairs or pushchairs.
